Samantha & Darren || A Surfers Paradise Wedding Film

Darren is a hard working, active lad from a small town in Southern NSW. Samantha is a genuine, respectful and happy go lucky girl from Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. They met while riding their bikes amongst New Years Eve festivities in 2012. While a mate accompanying Darren on the night was not interested in where the conversation was going, Darren saw a lot more than him. Sparks flew as well as fireworks that evening and love blossomed from there on in. It was only fitting that they should hold their wedding at a place that symbolises where they first met. I had grown up with Sam, first meeting her in primary school and studying alongside her in the French Immersion program at high school. Whilst probably teasing her in our younger years, I have always had a great respect for her and her group of friends who I was also close with at high school.

When Sam asked me to film her wedding, I was so honoured. I was introduced to Darren at their engagement party and turns out I lived in London with some of his closest friends who are now great friends of mine. The caliber of the boys in London led me to believe that this guy could be nothing short of a good bloke and my intuition was correct. Darren is everything his best man says he is in this film. These two are such a perfect match. Sharing in their day and capturing moments for them that they can look back on brought me the up most joy. I am so happy for Sam and Darren.

“An astounding emotional overload is the only way I can describe the euphoria I felt when we sat down and watched the magical story that Lance put together of our Wedding day! There were tears of joy, laughs and an overwhelming ‘warm and fuzzy’ feeling that was experience by both Darren and I! I couldn’t, and wouldn’t, recommend another videographer, no matter the occasion to be filmed. I honestly don’t believe I have ever met anyone with as much passion, attention to detail and raw talent within their profession as Lance possesses! From the moment he arrived on the day, he was (as nicely as one can put it) invisible, yet captured moments of the day that would have easily been forgotten in the craze that is a Wedding Day.

I can’t express enough how appreciative and thankful I am that I had such a talent and friend there covering every moment! We will watch our wedding film for years to come an d silently thank Box Media House each time for the welcomed onslaught of emotion and happiness it brings!” – Darren & Samantha
